(According to 2011 Survey of 14 Ecuadorian Real Estate Agents)
But YOU won't... if you take a moment to learn
what I learned house-hunting with local fishermen in Ecuador....so you
can find property like the oceanview lot I found in 2011 for just

Dear fellow real estate investor or retiree,
I missed out on the cheap beach front buys first in Costa Rica, then in Nicaragua and Panama.
I thought owning my own place on a gorgeous tropical beach within a few hours of the US was a dream only for the rich.
Until I discovered Ecuador!
I liked Ecuador so much I decided to stay and look for property on
the beach. Tropical weather, friendly locals, beautiful beaches, no
hurricanes, great dancing and all the fresh fruit juices I could drink.
I got really excited when I found out foreigners could easily buy and own property in their own name and that getting a resident visa was a cinch.
But when I started my search for
my dream beach house, I ran into problem after problem.
I searched the internet for days only to find a
few incomplete listings scattered here and there. The listings I did
find in Ecuador had US-like prices.
The little information I found was slanted in favor of self-promoting real estate agents.
In other words, all their advice was meant to lead me to
buy their properties, not necessarily geared towards helping me find
the best offers out there.
Walking the coast I saw huge, vacant lots but
with no real estate signs or any way to tell if they were for sale.
I was amazed at the price difference between similar
houses in the same place.
If someone knew what they were doing, they could really find an amazing deal, but if they didnt know what they were doing, they could get taken.
How could I tell the actual market value
without a standardized, nationwide listing service like the "MLS" in the States?
After talking to a few owners selling their own property, I realized the owners jacked the prices up on me as soon as they heard my
foreign accent.
So I hit the Internet again, this time looking
for advice on how to buy and find real estate deals in Ecuador.
Nothing. All I found was information for tourists
and a few superficial articles.
I even invested in a report or
two from popular real estate abroad magazines, only to be disappointed
once again by the cumbersome, slanted advice.
All I wanted to know was what was really happening on the coast of Ecuador, how to find the best deals, judge market values and avoid the scams from someone who had gone before.
I was about to invest all the money
I had.
As I researched and
researched, I took notes on everything I saw, heard and experienced. By
the end of my house search, I realized I had created a very valuable
resource for anyone thinking about buying beachfront land in Ecuador.
Jump start your house search by taking a peak at my personal notes accumulated after months of house hunting in Ecuador. |

This report may reveal something about
Ecuador that may cause you to decide that Ecuador is not for you. That
is the point. It is not a rose-colored (Ecuador is the best) style report.
This report is brief at 51 pages. It tells you only what you need to know before you start your search and buy and no more.
A lot of the backend information you will need once you buy down here is only touched upon lightly in this book.
Why? Because your real estate agent, lawyer, or anyone else down here can easily fill you in on that stuff after you decide to purchase.
This report does not have any actual listings. It shows you where to look to find the hottest current listings with online tutorials walking you through the steps.
This report is not meant for people who have already bought in Ecuador. It is only for people who are LOOKING to buy in Ecuador.
Is this report really objective? How can I be sure?
That is the sole factor that sets this report apart.
I am not a real estate agent and am only in Ecuador a few months a
year. I am a writer with experience living and buying property in
Ecuador.
This report answers the questions a real estate agent would not answer if they want your business!
Why
Ecuador?
 |
Hurricane-free: It's nice to know that unlike Central America and
the Caribbean, Ecuador is completely out of
Hurricane paths. |
 |
Protection from falling dollar- Ecuador uses the US dollar as their official
currency, staying cheap for Americans as other
countries become more expensive due to a falling
dollar. |
 |
Variety- If you like living on a green coastline, Ecuador has
that. If you prefer sunny and dry, Ecuador has that.
If you like waves or an ocean as flat as a lake,
Ecuador has them both within a few hours of each
other. Also, for more adventurous types, Ecuador has
the Andes mountains, Amazon jungle and beaches all
within a few hours of each other. |
 |
Cheap prices- The prices on the coast are so cheap you will ask if
that is the final price or the monthly payment! |
 |
Full property rights- Unlike places like Thailand, foreigners have full
ownership rights, the same as locals in Ecuador. |
 |
VIP treatment from locals You will feel like a special guest in someone's
house while in Ecuador. |
 |
Hawaii-like weather- Ecuador is right on the equator and stays around
80-85 degrees on the coast the entire year. |
 |
Proximity to US- Ecuador is only a four hour flight from Miami and a
one hour flight from Panama. |
|
